Introduction

LifeCoster (the “App”) is an app that helps you keep up your daily efforts in a fun way, by letting you watch the money you save by resisting a habit — or the money you earn by working — grow second by second.

All records you enter in the App (your Mission, Work, and Records data, along with settings such as wages and goal amounts) are stored only on your own device. This data is never sent to the developer’s servers or to any third party, there is no account registration, and there is no cloud sync. If you delete the App, this data is also erased from your device.

To offer the App for free, however, it displays ads (Google AdMob), and that part of the App sends certain information, such as device identifiers, to Google. This policy explains how information is handled in the App as clearly as possible.

This policy (the “Policy”) sets out how user information is handled in the App and in the related services the developer provides alongside it (the “Services”). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.

1. General Provisions

• The developer (“we,” “us”) complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws, as well as the guidelines of the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan.
• This Policy applies only to the handling of user information in the App and the Services. Services provided by third parties such as Google and Apple, whether within the App or referenced from this Policy, are governed by the privacy policies established by those third parties.
• If this Policy conflicts with any separately established terms of use, this Policy shall prevail.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

2-1. Information stored only on your device (not transmitted externally)

The following information that you enter or register in the App is stored only on your device (in iOS SwiftData / the app’s settings area). This information is never sent to our servers or externally.

• Registered content of your Missions (things you resist), such as name, amount, and period
• Settings for “Work,” such as work hours and wages (hourly / daily / monthly)
• Savings goal amounts and notification settings
• Records such as achievements and retirements
